    Hi everyone!

What room do you keep your dogs crate in and why?

I had mine in the sitting room but want to move it as its huge and to be honest sometimes we can't get him from the sitting room to front door quick enough so was going to move it to hall.

I have 4 dogs, for them I have 3 crates and 4 beds.

I have a small and medium crate in the sitting room for the terriers (they usually share) and the large one in the kitchen for the Springer, He has a bed in the sitting room but can usually be found curled up in someones lap on the couch... he thinks he's one of the smaller dogs :D

The crate in the kitchen is his safe zone, when he steals things he takes them in there and we can keep him away from the food while we're cooking.

I also have a bed in the hallway, dining room and kitchen for whoever feels the need to rest. Thankfully my house is fairly large so I have room for them all :p

Our crate is in the kitchen but right beside the door into the sittingroom so he gets to see what's goin on when we are in there. When he is tired he'd rather be in his crate than sitt on our feet which we never thought would happen :-)

we have the crate in the bedroom as its only really used at night for sleeping or on the odd occasion we need him safely out of the way.

he really does love his crate, its his own personal little gaff and woe betide the other dog should even look crooked at it lol :D wish we had discovered crates years ago as im sure the other dogs would have appreciated them too :)

oh and we do have normal doggy beds in the kitchen for them to chill out on during the daytime...when they're not sprawled out on you that is :)

In my Parents bedroom! We used to have it in the hallway but he would never settle and end up sleeping on the floor in there anyway. He slept outdoors in his kennel for 8 years but as he got older he started sleeping inside

In our utility room and she loves it. The washing machine sends her off to sleep. Also Because if we have her in an other one she is screaming wanting to get out

One in the hall for two dog's and the other in the utility for one dog, the trusted dog sleeps in the kitchen. Crates are only used for night time or if I 'm out of the house during the day. They are usually couch dog's.

Is it a pup you have in it, and wee's on the floor on the way to the back door?

we have our dog's crate in the sitting room. the thing is massive, every other room is too small for it. she sleeps in it at night and we put her in there temporarily when we don't want her getting into something. i'd prefer if we could trust her more. i'd just get her a dog bed to put there. crate is kinda taking up too much space :p

Ya he is very good and not weeing or pooing in it but in the mornings can sometimes have accidents if were not quick enough (our fault not his!)

On the landing outside our room. A crate for the small guy and the bigger girls bed. We used to have beds in the sitting room but they never used them (unless all the human seats were taken), they are always on the couches so we took them away. I do put them back down if we have a crowd.

When my youngest dog was a pup his crate was in the kitchen. He slept in there and went in for short periods during the day when I had to leave him unsupervised. I moved it upstairs when he was 8 or 9 months old and I felt confident that he could make it down to the garden with having an accident. He's 14 months old now and still sleeps in the crate because he just can't be trusted not to go poking his nose where it doesn't belong!

I keep it in the sitting room beside the couch :) I only crate one dog but she can see the other dogs on the couch beside her so it keeps her happy

Right inside the back (french) door(s) on the left. It's in a corner that is luckily just the size and width of the crate. Ideal for when it's wet out - as Hugo pops straight in and I can dry him off. It's also at the end of the dinner table so we can eat together (Hugo eats all his indoor meals in his crate). I've knocked all internal Walls downstairs so he has the run of the place.

Just watching Prometheus with the fire lit and his lordship just got up from his fireside slumber and off to bed. I'll let him out around 11.30 to do his business... And then it's bed (locked crate) till 7.30am.

Crate training is just great! For feeding, for visitors (Hugo will go to and wait in his open crate) and while camping or on holidays. We'd be lost without it.
