    Have only seen photos of this event before now, very interesting to see the (unfortunately grainy) video. Would the aircraft have been written-off ?

    Not even heard of that one before, pilots did extremely well to get everyone down safe with no left main! Not sure if it qualifies as a crash though... forced landing?

    It took him a bit of distance to stop,that had me thinking would it have been better to land at a less cluttered airport maybe somewhere like Manston.
    Would be less chance of crashing into a building if he had left the runway as well as not holding up many other flights.

    Aircraft was repaired and remained in service with VS until 2003-ish IIRC
