Private blood transfusion

Is there anywhere in Ireland where a private blood transfusion could be arranged? I'm thinking of a donation from one person directly to another rather than someone storing their own blood for later use.
Failing that, is anyone aware of any facilities in Britain or elsewhere who could facilitate this? Thanks.

I doubt it, but also: do you mind if I ask..?

Why would one possibly want such a thing?

Directed donation isn't permitted in Ireland to the best of my knowledge. If there are very rare blood groups involved from family members, that would be a different story, but the blood would have to be processed through the standard donation pathway as if it was a unit for anyway.

The situation in the UK would be similar.

There is some facility for autologous donation for orthopaedic surgery and the like, but it's not recommended in general as blood that has been through the full screening of the blood banking system is generally safer.

Would there be facilities in Europe?

This falls under requesting Medical Advice and is clearly not allowed under the forum charter.
