From Emmy-nominated producer Craig Wright (“Dirty Sexy Money,” “Six Feet Under”), MTV’s new scripted dramedy “Underemployed” follows a group a five friends – Sophia, Daphne, Lou, Raviva and Miles – who all believe they’re destined for greatness as they graduate from college and enter the real world. But what happens when complete world domination doesn’t go according to plan? “Underemployed” picks up one year after pomp and circumstance, when reality has set in and the group struggles, often comically, to stay optimistic through dead end jobs, terrible bosses, romantic mistakes and major life changes. The series, which is currently in production in Chicago, will feature 12 hour-long episodes and is slated to launch in fall 2012. Valedictorian of her college class, Sophia is holding on to her dreams to be a writer, as she serves of maple bacon bars at Donut Girl, while Daphne has been an unpaid intern for a year at advertising agency. Lou and Raviva ended their relationship for Lou to pursue his dreams of becoming an environmentalist and Raviva to become a famous singer, but a wrench is thrown in their plans when she shows up on his doorstop nine-months pregnant. Meanwhile, Miles wants to be the face of a major American designer’s underwear campaign, but instead is serving up drinks and appetizers in his skivvies.

    Season 1 , Episode 1– “Pilot”
An unplanned pregnancy complicates things between Lou and Raviva in the opener of this series, which follows five friends as they struggle through post-college life in the real world.

Since King Darko dictates some poster input...... ....not seen it but based on the promo vid reminds me of I Just Want My Pants Back. MTV have not had much success with scripted content outside of Teen Wolf and Awkward.

RJ Berger failed, so did Pants and it's looking highly likely The Inbetweeners will be axed, add Skins and you've got alot of flops.

Enough with the snide comments, if you have an issue with me then pm me or speak to a mod about it. You seem to have taken issue with the fact that I let my thoughts be known on how I believe every new thread should encourage discussion and not simply be a link copy and pasted from elsewhere you. You know, as per charter rules.

The show is a pretty generic and laugh less 22 minutes. Nothing in it stands out and considering the number of strong sitcoms which debuted this year I really can't see myself giving this one much of a chance. If it were to play around a littke with viewer expectations then it could be something to keep an eye on as the cast are likeable and there's some potential in the set up .
