    Hi,
I have a question about the means test for Jobseeker Allowance. I'm 28 living with my parents, if I understand it correctly that means I'm can get the 188 full JA if I meet the other conditions. But - I want to move out & my Dad said he'd pay my rent. So will that (about 100/wk or less) count towards means and so I'd only get 88 or so?

    Thanks.

Any money your father gives you towards your rent will be seen as cash income, and assessed on a euro per euro basis.
