Drip from gas boiler

    Hi there

I have a ferroli gas boiler that seems to have a small leak on the bottom. It's probably my own fault as it's five years old and has never had a service.

I booked one the other day but its not until early November. However in the meantime I noticed this little leak.

It's coming from a nut on the underside of the boiler. I don't even know what part it is. At first I thought it might be loose but it actually seems like it might be corroded.

I'd appreciate if anyone who knows about these things could look at the picture attached and let me know if it's safe to leave this until the service or if it is something that should be dealt with ASAP.

    Thanks very much

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply.

It's not a pipe. It's a round plate piece on the bottom of the boiler with a bolt on it. I can't work out what it is!

I am kinda tied to service as I have a voucher for the company and that's the earliest they can come. Unless this is an emergency...

it's not dripping very much really but just want to see what the experts here might think!

Sorry for digging this back up but I've just worked out that the drip is at the bottom of the anode rod.

The service is tomorrow. Is it likely that he will be able to fix this without prior warning?

Also how much might that cost to repair?

The boiler is a ferroli elite 60 f24.

    Thanks!

Depends on what's leaking. Nut loose it'd be free, heat exchanger leaking, be dear. If you need a part you'd prob have to order it and wait anyway
