Hi all, new to Galway, looking to pass a bit of time in the evenings/nights, meet new people etc.. and wondering what the Hold 'em scene is like around Galway. Preferably something like €20 freezeout or whatever, so it doesn't get tooooo costly :D (I am a poor student after all).

    The more the merrier :)

The Eglington in town and Caesars Palace in Salthill would be exactly wwhat you are looking for.

As far as meeting people goes i wouldnt go to a card room to do that as those mates will get costly.

see if any of your local pubs run a weekly game as that would help you to get to know the neighbours and have a pint with them.
