Home Insurance Quote with a claim ?

    Hi,

    Looking for some information or advice, have a semi d house, alarmed, good locks etc. Made a claim first time in 9 years for a lost ring away from home. Less then €1000, anyone recommend a company because I am having trouble in getting a quote ?
    My current insurer is looking for crazy money :eek:

    Once you make a claim you will have lost your no claims discount which based on 9 years will be circa 50% of premium. Therefore your insurers price will jump as a result. With only one claim you should be able to shop around and get comparitive quotes with all the insurers

    my quoting software only asks for claims made in the last 6 years.

    go to a broker, they'll sort you out
