Runway 10 departures from Dublin

Have the standard departures from runway 10 changed?

The reason I ask is that, although I don’t live too far from Dublin Airport, we seldom get planes flying over the house. It’s usually just the odd Cityjet Avro taking off from runway 10 for Paris and making an early right turn. All other easterly takeoffs pass Howth before tuning south.

However this morning the house practically shook from a plane passing overhead. I knew it was something big and when I checked the Flightradar playback (for 7:30 UTC) it turns out that it was the Aer Lingus A330 on its way to Malaga. I noticed too from the playback that a number of other departures were making early turns. I thought initially that this was weather related but it seemed to be pretty clear around that time.

Ehhh, weather was a big issue this morning at dub. They 100% used full take off thrust and probably were using avoiding action re early turns.

If you want to make a compliant get onto the IAA but you don't have a leg to stand on here OP.

On the contrary, I wish it was like that all the time. I wouldn't need to go to the airport to do my spotting.:)

They're going off 16 at the moment I think.

Heavies are going off 10. Emirates did so about 20/30 mins ago. Not uncommon for them to use 10/28 when the others are on 16/34.

I saw an EI A330 off 16 not 30mins ago. They take 16 when they can.

Yup and the Emirates went off 10 just after. Also a Ryanair went off 10 also a while before. Looks like a free for all of sorts.

Forget it. The closer the better as far as I'm concerned.
