Hi, I am connecting my Sony Camera to my PC so I can upload pictures from it but it doesn't seem to be finding the pictures.

When I go to My Computer after connecting the camera, 3 new drives seem to come up.

    Removable Disk (F:)
    Removable Disk (G:)
    PMBPortable (H:)

There is no folders in the F drive, which is where I expected the pictures stored on the memory card in my camera to appear.

In the G drive, there is 2 pictures stored in a folder but they are the 2 very first pictures I took on the camera and as such are stored on the cameras internal memory.

In the H drive there is 3 files, Autorun, PMBP_WIN, Register.

Any idea on why I am unable to find these pictures?

    Thanks in advance

PMB Portable is a software, built into the camera, which allows you to copy photos to the computer (only works on Windows machines, a Mac version can be downloaded from SONY), the executable should be in the PMBP_WIN folder..

Why don't you pull the memory card and slot it into a card reader?

Had a similar problem - turned out the issue was with the usb port I was using. Changed ports and hey presto- found the photos.

Any photo shop or computer store should have them in stock. Always handy to have one around. Phones, tablets, ereaders, cameras... all sorts of gadgets use SD or microSD cards these days.

Some printers also have card readers built in, most of them will allow you to access the card like a card reader does. If not, card readers are cheap enough nowadays
