Social welfare - Sunday taken into account

    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before. But with the new changes that are coming through soon - that Sunday work will be taken into account, what does that really mean? I cannot get any work at all. But might have the possibility of a Sunday only job. But currently I am only getting €46 a week from social welfare (thats a WHOLE other issue but anyway), does this mean that if I take this Sunday job which will pay maybe €70 a day that I then wont even get my €46 and so only really be €24 better off, which will probably be spent in getting to the job in the first place??

    thanks,

    jendafer

    Sunday job as per means test,income €70 minus €20 (allowance)= €50 get 60% of €50 = €30.

€30 will be deducted from your jsa when you work on the Sunday.
