    Incredibly, the reasonably accurate yr.no shows (for Galway) the next 7 days or so to have minimal rainfall. Should help to prolong the grazing season somewhat and keep stock out of the shed for another little while.

    What will it take to dry saturated land now though? One almost thinks fondly now of the severe frost we had for a couple of winters 2 years ago. On the agenda, loads of soak pits to be dug around field gaps and soft spots if and when fields can bear the traffic.
