Good town with student pubs to stop in before Cavan

    Anyone know of a town which is on the way to Cavan which has good student pubs? Somewhere which would take ages to get on and off the motorway!

    well Virginia is on your way after you come off main rd but there is only maybe 3 or 4 good pubs and they do not be busy until Saturday Nights!

    You won't get "student" pubs between Dublin and Cavan as there are no "student" towns on the route...

    Navan will probably have the biggest selection of pubs, followed by Kells, and then Virginia as a previous poster suggested...

    Its no distance, why not wait until you get to Cavan ?

    Lavey Inn, between Virginia and Cavan town, right on the N3. Agree though best student place before Cavan would be Navan.
