I currently get 13 & 19e on a 80cm dish. By adding a multi lnb bracket etc. what other sats could I possibly receive with this dish.
    Thanks

You could probably add 23.5e and/or 28.2e with little difficulty.
    I installed a 76cm dish with 13e, 19.2e and 28.2e, (centred on 19.2e), working well.

    Ta for reply.
Have sky on it's own dish already, was hoping I could add 10e to my 13(centred),19e config but I think you just answered that in another thread.

if you have a 80cm dish , it will look smaller the further you move off axis. (cosine of the angle etc.)
But when you move too far the lnb will see things behind the dish, so you get a lot more noise.

http://www.satpointer.com/ at the bottom of the page it lists the dish sizes needed

in general you point at the centre , to keep the angles small , but if there is a large difference in the required dish size maybe point at the one that needs the largest dish

You can get 28.2E (SKY) and 9E (Saorsat) on the same dish. (Saorsat needs special LNB)

I have a TD88 with a multibracket. The LNB range would be 28.2 to 4.8 side to side.

For me, outside 28.2 on that range, 10e is a must along with 19 and 4.8. I have sacrificed 13 and 16 until someone tells me where to get an extra lnb holder for a multibracket without gunthering.

There is nothing interesting on 23.5.

ive a 1.1m dish, ive lnbs on it for 28, 23.5, 19, 16, 13, 10/9 east. I cable tied the lnb for 9/10east to the lnb for 13 east. works a treat.

The biggest problem you have, is the gaps between the lnbs (The smaller the dish the smaller the spaces between each lnb on the arm) Ive found with a 1.1m dish you can get 3degree spacing using full size lnbs (Im actually using sky mk4 quad lnbs, ive no prblem with signal)

    Snaps

I know you are on a 1.1m dish so you have the spacing, but on a TD88 the spacing contracts. With normal LNBs, the spacing back to back is apx 4degrees (eg 4.8 and 9 bang smack against each other).

The dish obviously has a lot of space in between. I have space for 13 inside but have sacrificed this for 19 on the other side (as the multibracket only comes with 4 lnb holders). So currently i have 28--19---||
    9/10-4.8.

Dead centre is 16 Is there a clip you can get add at the centre or is it a case of making one and bolting it to the centre arm. Also can you buy those additional lnb holders for the TD multibracket?

I have a 8x1 diseqc due any day now and would like to add the extra lnbs that I have.

Side question. What are the advantages of reversing the TD multibracket ? I read somewhere that it gives extra swing ?

As per install drawings the slope is too low for difference in Elevation between say 13E and 28E.

Horizontal implies dish in Ireland is pointin about 8W. As you move dish further East or West from due south you get to a steeper part of the "Arc". At the horizon the bracket would be nearly vertical.

Flipping it over puts the mount hole at bottom instead of top, so the bar can tilt more.

If you want to centre dish on 10E, 13E or 16E, to take advantage of 28E being able to be more offset (poorer reception), then you drill a new mount hole a couple of cm offset.

    134102.png
    WEST <- 28E
    19E (16) 13E - 9E -> EAST
New hole drilled to offset bar. Hole is in bottom slot to allow maximum slope variation. Dish aligned on 16E

If you are using Ka LNBF at 9E, it only needs ONE port in on the Multiswitch, so you can add 23.5E too and have 3 of the 4 feeds connected. You miss some channels.

Was thinking of two staggered dishes for this very reason.

Yes, two interleaved/staggered dishes is still cheaper than a Wavefrontier T90, but still only half the arc.

So I have 110cm motorised and the 90 x 95cm dish just four sats. Though I may add 23.5 as it will cost nothing.

Need new sat box for Motorised, or else a PCI (not PCie) DVB-S2 card that can drive motor, PSU is gone dodgy

    9/10-4.8.

Whats your 4.8 reception like? Ive 2 more slots left on my 8x1 switch? I tried 7east, but i think i actually ran into problems with spacing from my 10/9east lnb!

As you can see on the TD88 there is no spacing between 9/10e and 4.8e (furthest right)

4.8 for me is very strong is comparison to weak transponders on 10e even in heavy in rain.
