4 main bodies withing Ireland.

    Could anybody please tell me the 4 main bodies? Also, Is there anywhere other than the already stickied thread to which I can find good information on them?

    CPA Certified Public Accountants
    ACA Chartered Accountants
    ACCA Certified Chartered Accountants
    IIPA incorporated public accountants
    Most accountants in practice will be members of the above
    In industry there also CIMA Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

    4 main accounting bodies, as per OP's request

    CAI, ACCA, CIMA and CPA.

    Check out each of their websites.

    As mentioned above CIMA would be mostly associated with Industry only. CAI mostly, but somewhat less so of late, associated with practice.
