DropBox Space Race [FREE SPACE]

DropBox are handing out free space to college students. Just have to verify with your TCD email address and you get 3GB extra, plus whatever else TCD earns with the amount of students who join.

Just wanna give this is a bump....the extra 3gb is great! Even if you have a dropbox a/c that wasn't originally set up with your tcd email a/c , it will still give you the extra space, once you verify you are a tcd student.

Yeah but... it says 'get an extra 3 GB for two years' so after 2 years I get to pay for the extra space? I'd prefer not to engage in this bait and switch.

4shared.com, just out of beta, offering free 15gb accounts. Has a similar sync function to dropbox (caveat emptor, I have not tested)

You dont pay for the extra 3 gigs , You just lose it from your account. It's quite easy to make up that space again from referrals.

Wouldn't trust 4shared as much as i'd trust Megaupload or any of those Big file hosters. Dropbox is quite clever the way they've been updating their sync function.

If you want to make syncing files from multiple computers and phones seamless Dropbox is the way.
