    The deal: everyone in colleges gets 3GB free for 2 years, if we get 100 people from WIT to sign up we get 8GB.. it goes up to 25GB.

    It works whether you have an existing dropbox account or not. So sign up and get free space!

    Yep, there other that offer more space. But dropbox's most powerful feature is its API IMO, there are so many other programs which link directly in.

    Personally id use skydrive, as if dropbox go out of business or shut down, then your data is lost. But I doubt skydrive will ever shut down since micrsoft runs it. I think its 25gb free with skydrive.
