Is there an independent VW OR Diesel specalist in Dublin

I have a serious problem on Diesel 3.0 V6 Audi /VW engine. With no notice, the car stopped, and VW confirm the high pressure pump "is full of metal particles" is destroyed, taking with it 6 x piezo injectors, and including labour to clear the debris, the repair bill is shocking ( potentially >5K)

Can anyone recommend an independent VW or Diesel specialist in Dublin?

Need info ASAP, as need to make a call on this today.

    Thanks!
    Hugh

We can certainly help the OP but we are not in Dublin. We can arrange transport of the car if needed but maybe someone else will have a recommendation for someone more local.

If the high pressure pump has metal filings in it then the diagnosis of pump plus six injectors plus cleaning all lines and tank is probably spot on. Using all new parts the bill is going to be pretty significant one way or another.

    All
thanks for this. Some good feedback and a good conversation with earlier poster re a non-VW fix.
Still a shockingly expensive undertaking, but it looks possible that VW may come through on some goodwill. I know know more about injectors & HP fuel pumps that I ever wanted to, but one clear message is that Bosch fuel pumps do fail, but there is little history of failure on the V6 VW/Audi tdi, so looks like I was unlucky.
Car was only ever fueled on motorway stations & branded stations in/ around south Dublin.

Dodgy fuel is the obvious question.

    Will update when concluded

Alternatively, you may contact http://ratoathautoclinic.com/services.html - based on the Ratoath / Dunshaughlin road. It's my local mechanic and he is a VAG specialist. He does have a collection as well, worth giving him a bell assuming he's not too busy.
