so i have a few-month old toshiba satellite pro L870-150, and had external speakers plugged in. went to play something on windows media player but no sound. checked sound levels - they're ok. unplugged speakers - no sound from internals. tested speakers in control panel - no sound. checked in devices manager and all sound…

edit.... never mind - fixed it.... closing down and re-starting didn't help so i powered up then held down the power button and re-booting seems to have worked.... the 3nd time, lol.
