Anyone ever hear of them? Think they are bust. Saw one on tv programme tonight at an aviation breakers yard. Just never hear of them.

wings.net domain seems to be owned by motorola and doesn't appear to ever be used. Can you be more specific on what you refer to?

Yes I can be a bit more specific, guy from "Grand Designs" building his "own gaf" in his 2 acres and he went to some airfield and ultimately ended up with a core of an engine-front, dont know exact name, and used it as a sauna, yes a sauna, upturned.

Anyway in the background in trying to purchase it there was an aircraft with www.wings.net written along the side.

Just wondering who or what that airline was/is? - it was in the background of his search.

do you remember what airfield it was? colours of the engine cowling? what size it was? did it look more like 1.5m or 2.5m in diameter?

Wasn't an airfield it was an aircraft breakers yard in England,

The cowling has nothing to do with the aircraft with wings.net along the side of it in the background.

maybe it was smartwings? did it look anything like this?

    http://www.airliners.net/photo/Smart-Wings/Boeing-737-530/2086521/&sid=67554def9f32430226d5739faa6fd4e4

if not, can you describe the aircraft? was it a jet? big/small? I would imagine if you could tell us what type of aircraft it was you would have already done so...

Looked like a 737. You might be right on the smartwings, looks familiar when I check the photo.

The cowling used was definitely a 737. Only saw the end of the show but that shape is unmissable
