We recently cancelled our sky on 2nd October 2012 after 10 years with them. They offered us a nice package to stay but we turned them down. so they rang during the week and again today to see if we will come back.

Just now our sky has been cut off. cant get any stations. We have paid up for the month of October so i cant see why we have been cut off. Im going to ring tomorrow to see what the shtory is but i dont really want to affect them calling us back cause were going to negotiate staying with them. Wondering should i ring and demand what the is going on and can we get a free month considering we have paid and its been taken away or hold out till they call again?

If all channels are gone, inducing Sky News on 501, there is a technical fault with your Dish, LNB or box.

Do you get a message on screen?

Ya on all Premium stations(RTE,TV3,sky1 etc) just says we have to upgrade our sky package or call the number.

Check your billing cycle - they may have just cut you off a bit early if your monthly billing cycle just ended. Check your account online to make sure the dates line up.

It says that it comes out on the 5th of every month. It also said somewhere that the balance is withdrawn 1 month in advanced. Basically we cancelled our sky on the 2nd, on the 5th they tried to take Novembers money. But the bank is closed. i didnt see the emails and 9 days later they stopped sky subscription even though we were told October has been paid for upto the 2nd of November. We even have a later from them thanking us for paying in advance

Do you mean you cancelled the direct debit?
If so, that's why you were cut off.

ya. cause the sky was cancelled and was paid for, we didnt see the point of having a bank acc open. specially seen as we were told it was going to stop on the 1/11/12
