A plate cam with a reciprocating knife edge follower is to be driven by a constant speed motor at 200 rpm. The follower is to start from a dwell, rise to a lift of 50mm. The maximum velocity of the follower during this lift is be 1200 mm/s. The follower then dwells for 0.1 seconds before returning, and dwelling for 0.05 seconds. Determine the specifications of the displacement diagram. Plot the displacement diagram and the first two derivatives with respect to cam rotation.
