2005 316i - Blows warm air from footwell vents but not through upper vents on dash.

Anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions?

Have you checked the wheel between the dash vents that allows you to specify whether warm or cold air comes through them? Sorry if you have already...

The wheel on the dash is for open and close of the vents ??

There's a wheel or slide in the centre between the 2 centre vents which allows you to control the temperature of the air coming from those vents.

I bow down to your superior knowledge, enlightened one!

I just informed the other half of this and she now has heat in her car!

    Many thanks.

One of the best features in the e46, warm air for the windscreen, then cooler air for the driver. I've no idea why they got rid of it for the e90

Don't drive the BMW very often so didn't even know this existed. Was preparing to replace some part or the other.Seems silly in retrospect but...
    Glad i asked first.
