I have a sony walkman for the last 3 years but recently I have started to lose audio in my left earphone. Its not the earphone thats that problem becasue I swapped it with another one and its the same problem. I can get a proper audio sound in it but to do this I have to keep adjusting the spot just above were the jack is. Does it sound like its on its last legs and will need to be replaced?

Does the headphone socket feel very loose? if not you might try some contact cleaner sprayed in the socket.

Let us know if that is of help.:)
