Is it possible to unlock it with out knowing the original owners details? I bought it off eBay and I dont live in the UK. If not, then is it possible that I order an o2 prepaid sim and use it for a while here in Estonia and then apply for the official unlock process..? Would it work?

O2 ireland does it for free.. I am not gonna pay half the price of the phone to get in unlocked. I am willing to pay €10 though..

Is the phone locked to O2 Ireland or O2 in the UK?

Why don't you just ring O2 then?

Coz you have to be a customer of O2 and I am not.

This is the site where you can request an unlock, but as I am not a customer then I cant do it. I've read that ur phones IMEI has to be tied to O2 number.. So I'm wondering if it would work if I order an O2 sim and use it here for a while? I live in Estonia...
