Refurbish of Mid-Terrace House

I'm looking to refurbish my 3 bed mid-terrace house. I don't want to spend the time getting different people in to do the work as I would like it to be done all in one go so as there will be minimal disruption on my family.

Can anybody advise what the best way to go about this is?

I'm looking to do the following:

    • replace all front/back doors and windows with newer and more cost effective alternatives.
    • replace all internal doors (5 single and 1 double)
    • resolve some existing issues in kitchen extension e.g. extremely cold in there despite extratherm insulation added to walls and ceiling, tidy up poor kitchen installation
    • replace bathroom
    • build storge units under stairs
    • replace facia, soffit and guttering on kitchen extension
    • new timber floors throughout downstairs
    • new bathroom suite, floor and wall tiles
    • new fireplace in sitting room
    • resolve some plastering issues in extended sitting room (kitchen extension built out back and sitting room extended into old kitchen). location of old wall still visible in plaster work.
Can anybody on here advise me of what the best way to approach this is? Is it too small for a building contractor?

Any ideas of rough cost (3 bed far from a big house but not tiny either!!).

Not much knowledge/experience of building trade and went down the mates approach once already and hasn't worked out quite too well for me for different reasons - mainly my own inexperience/lack of planning and want to avoid it this time around.
