hi guys,

i have a quick question i hope you might be able to answer for me!!!

am currently in the market for a second hand car, but can wait till jan if needs be.

is it better to go buying in november/december, when the motor trade is presumably a bit quieter, or wait till the new year when the car will be a year older and a bit cheaper?

or maybe it makes no real difference at my budget, circa 5k?

A 5k car will still be 5k in the new year. I cant see it dropping in price

Private sale or small dealers won't change their prices.
Large dealers who sell new cars may drop price to have better year end.

I reckon a lot of people will be more desperate just before and after xmas and then you have the budget, depends on the car and a number of factors...
