Hi I went for my 'free' prsi check up in July (which cost €65 for xraysand then €75 for a clean) and was told I need 6 fillings. The total cost quoted is €895. Does this seem a bit expensive to anyone?

The dentist is lovely and I would be confident the work would be excellent but I'm wondering if those prices are based on the location which is a well to do part of dublin....?

My first app is next week and it will be €235 for two fillings...

€150 per fill is ok if all are very large and difficult fills using composite... My guess is that some are small and some are big, so the small easy fills are €100 and the large ones €200ish so yes seems steep....
Weigh up the quality of care with the extra cost and if that extra cost has a value for you then go with it....

Thanks guys, wanted to be sure before committing, I'm a professional flautist so quality is definitely worth paying for.
    Thanks again!
