    Hi Guys,

I am a CPA student about to start on the final stage (Professional 2) of the CPA exams. I have been thinking about doing them through a distance learning program. Has anyone done this before, or can recommend a good course?

Do people feel it would be to difficult to do all four papers this way or are there people who feel this is a better way to study compared with the class enviroment. I know last year i turned up to lectures but come half 8 i stopped taking anything in.

Any help from people who have been through similar situations would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Shaykay,

I'm interested to hear what people think about the distant learning program too. I am considering becoming a CPA student, and should (hopefully) only have to do the P2 exams and possibly P1 Corporate Law's & Gov. I am living abroad but would come home to sit the exams. It would be great if any recently qualified or current students could advise if its possible to pass these exams by just studying the books and past exam papers? the elearning courses are 500 eur per subject, which is very expensive. Thanks in advance for any help!

It's usual to take the Professional exams through distance learning.

Whether the books alone are sufficient is really dependent on the abilities of each student and whether they get good practical experience in their work place.
