I picked up one of these lately for my bike but I need to ask people here are they ok to mount them onto the handlebars of the bike in lashing rain? It was an expensive device and i wouldn't be able to get another one if rain was to damage this one. I assume it is waterproof?

It's waterproof, your fine sticking it on the bars.

Cheers, it was a stupid question I guess but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for that.

Bike Route toaster.com is the best site for installing maps onto the 800. Once you have the course created send it to the device as a GPX file. Works a treat.
