Im having a problem with my vokera 14se boiiler. It wont llght, goes through its cycle but after about 20-30seconds the reset light on the front lights. Had a plumber over and he checked pressure and filling loop and it was fine, and the gas cooker is working so there is gas supply. The pump runs and the fan is running, you can hear what sounds like the ignition electrodes sparking for about 5-10 seconds and then the reset light on the front lights up red. no matter how many times you reset it, it wont light. You cant see the electrodes sparking if you look in the little inspection hole on the front of the boiler, but i dont know if you would normally be able to see it sparking?
Ive heard that the ignition control box goes on these sometimes, would I be experiencing the above if it was that?

Check the handle on the yellow gas valve on the bottom of the boiler is in line with the pipe rather than across it.

Check that the external vent/intake isn't blocked by ivy.

can be the control box, but also the overheat stat prevents the gas valve opening, or the gas valve is faulty, all require an RGI to replace.
