i am absolutely clueless when it comes to rugby (my apologies)
    but
i am organising my sister's hen party for some time towards the end of next summer and she is mad for rubgy and i know she'd love to go away for a game ..
so are there any matches on in june/july/august - i know she loves cardiff and edinburgh. she is a munster fan btw
if so, how on earth do i go about securing tickets and accomodation? and how far in advance would i need to get the tickets?

If you really love her bring her on the Lions tour , I would say she would be quite happy.

That's actually pretty much the worst possible time as the Northern Hemisphere season finishes at the end of May and doesn't start up again until the end of August (this year the Rabo Pro 12 kicked off on the 31st August). All rugby played during the summer is in the Southern Hemispher (the Lions tour of Australia, Super Rugby (their version of the Heineken Cup essentially) and the Rugby Championship (their version of the 6 Nations). The only rugby played up here would be the French Top 14 which kicks off in the middle of August or pre season friendlies, which won't be announced until the end of this season or during the summer.

If that's the one that's part of the World Series it's actually the 4-5 May and has moved to Glasgow. London is the final leg a week later.

How about entering a team into a tag tournament like the pig & porter in Bruff?

    Do you mean Old Crescent?

@happywithlife tag is much easier to understand than regular rugby, and each half is only 7 minutes so fitness mightn't be as big a problem plus you can make as many subs as you like if you have enough players
