It's a quality bike at the price level.

Don't own one but tried one out a while back and found it very quick, but too aggressive for me, if you were looking for a bike to race with, you won't get better for the money but if you just want a bike for long spins and to keep fit etc you'd be better off looking at the likes of the Pro Carbon or another less agressive bike because they will be alot more comfortable over a distance.

I was interested in it when it was launched because it was marketed as a sportive bike suitable for all day spins. However when I looked at the geometry it was much racier than I thought it would be. It has a short headtube and low front end. But it's reputed to be a good race bike. Maybe it could be set up differently but that might be a compromise.

Bought the Planet X RT 57 in April (previous bike was a Cube Peleton). I'm no racer, in fact I'm your typical Mamil (Middle Aged Man in Lycra). I only cycle Sportives and in Groups.

I've done approximately 5,000 km on it so far, and I love it. I must say I don't find it 'agressive', it's very comfortable.

I love the SRAM Red, the 'Double Tap' gear shift is far nicer than the Shimano set up (in my humble opinion).

Only downsides for me are :

    1. the paint is easily chipped and
    2. I've had some trouble with the Planet X CNC brakes (my bike mechanic thinks they're crap anyway, but he won't explain as I think he doesn't want to hurt my feelings 'cause he knows it's 'my baby').
