I'm Graduating Nursing in TCD on December 6th 2012 for the 1pm Time Slot. Each person is allowed 2 people to the ceremony, but I'm the first in my Family to Graduate College and My Grandmother is really disheartened that she cannot attend with my parents.

So I'm looking for someone who is graduating the same day and timeslot that would have a spare ticket available? I can collect this on the Monday of Graduation week or really anytime before Graduation. It would be lovely if she could attend on a spare ticket.

for my graduation during the summer my dad and my partner used the two tickets and my mother queed up for a spare seat. she didnt get to sit with my dad and partner but she was in the main hall.

my friends grandmother is in a wheel chair and the security guards let her in with no ticket and were very good to her.

also i went to another friends graduation and i queed up and got a seat on one of the beanches upstairs and there was plenty of room for all who wanted to get in

the cermany is pretty boring its the reception afterwards and the pictures that are the nice part. my sister and her husband and my son came to my gradation but didnt attend the cermany just the reception afterwards and the pictures around the college and we got a family photo with layfayette upstairs as well.

if your grandmother cant get into the cermany or doesnt want to quee up she can meet you to go into the reception afterwards and get pictures done.

congratulations on your acheivement (i was the first one in my family too my parents didnt even have leaving certs) its a very proud day for you all so i hope you enjoy it

Thanks for the reply, I've already had a graduation from TAP but unfortunately she was ill and couldn't make it so she was looking forward to coming to the 'real' one :D

She's disabled so I'll have to give the college a buzz and see if they can help, but in the meantime if anyone has a spare ticket, I'd be grateful :)
