Was looking at getting a TSC 114 box and it seems you need a dish + UHF antenna?
At the moment I get the basic channels through the Upc cable (I don't have any TV package with them).
I also have an old Sky antenna+lnb, will that be enough to get all the channels for the TSC 114 or I need to get the UHF aerial also?
Basically, I'm asking why isn't a normal satellite antenna enough to get all the channels?

Aerial required for the Irish channels. The Irish channels carried on on the Astra satellite (Sky) are encrypted due to rights issues and are only available with an Irish Sky sub and receiver.

The old Sky dish, provided it's still in working order can be used with the Triax box for the free-to-air satellite channels.

Sounds good. So without the aerial I will only get freeview channels and not the irish ones.

Without an aerial you will only get the FTA satellite channels. Freeview is the name of the UK's equivalent to our Saorview service via an aerial.
