Hey been looking around at headsets lately as I will need it for night time gaming, have a sony bdv-e380 surround for daytime gaming but I'm tired of having to turn it down to nothing at night :(

Does anyone have opinions on what the best true 5.1 surround headset is?

Have 2 in mind but they are expensive @ €200+ each,

    Turtle beach xp500 -€211

    Tritton ax pro - €218

These are the best prices I could find so far if anyone knows as good headsets for less or these headsets cheaper I'd be much obliged thanks in advance :)

If its just for ps3 I'd recommend the official 7.1 wireless headset. A mate brought me back apart from Singapore last year and they really are a great piece of kit. I think they can be bought here now in the likes of GameStop and that and I think he paid around 90 euro so they probably cost a bit more here.

In my experience wireless headsets are far inferior to wired one's. I had a pair of turtle beach about 2 years ago and the hissing and popping was a total head wreck.
Took them back to the shop and changed them for a pair of wired Tritons and never looked back.
