All can be purchased from a local motor factors. The car is based on a Fiesta and parts are still easily available. Nothing there looks rare at all.

As above. SOmeties brake lines need to be made, but not the hoses.

Are the rear axle and wishbone bushes, just "bushes" or does an arm have to be purchased ?

They are just bushes. Not really a DIY job to replace them just in case you were planning on it. I also would recommend getting the bushes from Ford if you plan to keep the car for any length of time, the spurious bushes will not last.

Yeah, cause Ford make the bushings themselves . Plenty of OE quality bushings out there.

If it is just the hand brake cables, these can also be purchased already made up. There isn't 1 part there that I have sold within the last few weeks. All good quality parts...

And plenty of poor quality crap as well. Under normal circumstances I would have the same opinion as you, when it comes to parts like brakes, clutches, filters etc, but rubber bushes are an exception in my experience. We only fit genuine rubber bushes in our place (except in cases where we are upgrading to Powerflex etc) Have had too many bad experiences with aftermarket parts, even OEM brands such as Febi don't seem to last.

In this case if you price genuine Ford bushes versus spurious from a motor factor the total cost difference for the pair is likely to be insignificant. So in my opinion it would be foolish to take a risk by buying the unknown quantity, particularly when it isn't exactly a 5 minute job to fit them.

As above the rubber hoses are readily available in any motor factors. However if the problem is with the metal lines themselves then they will need to be made up, they are not available off the shelf.

Usually the metal brake lines would be made at the same time as fitting them by the garage or individual that is doing the work. What happens is the old corroded sections are removed and a new line is made to match and fitted. It is very difficult to make a new brake line to fit exactly right without having the old one to use as a template.

It seems to me that you are making this more difficult than it needs to be. Are you planning on doing the work yourself or having a garage do the work? If you are having a garage do the work then why not let them supply the parts as well and save yourself a lot of hassle?
