Old china dishes - How to value them?

My mother has some old dishes that she'd love to get valued. She told me she thought they were old enough and looking online, I think she's right. The problem is, we don't really know the best way to go about getting them properly valued and possibly sold. I figured I'd ask here for advice since this board covers antiques.

There's three categories they fall into really.

The main batch of china has this logo on the back of them (pictures taken from a pottery website, not the actual items)...

    Empire England

Reading up on the logo, they are dated to 1949. We're talking a big set of them; about 50 items in total.

The second category is a set of six plates with this logo on them...

...which are apparently dated to between 1891 - 1914.

Finally, I've got one plate with this on the back (Sorry, the picture is sideways and mirrored....)

(Princess Rose; Wood & Sons England, Alpine White Ironstone)

Would anyone have any advice on what way to handle these items? Where would be the best place to look for a proper valuation?

What area are you in and I'll stick up some recommended local auctioneers who will probably be able to help out?

One of these these three firms should be able to help and the valuation should be free - if they may get the sale of the items.
