Sean Quinn - A gangster for sure but possibly a genuis?

I just watched last weeks Prime time featuring Sean Quinn's empire demise. I don't live in Ireland any more so haven't really heard much about it.

The lengths he went to prevent Anglo capturing his assets was pretty impressive. A complete gangster it appears but you have to admit it was pretty clever stuff. If I'm been honest I say fair play.

Would anyone agree? He is bankrupt now apparently but I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few million stashed away.

He's not a genius at all. He's just good with lying and deceit anyone who has any knowledge of economics and law would be able to do the same.

He is neither a gangster nor genius.

I hate the way Irish people admire scumbags who can get away with things.

Voters like me? I have never voted while living in Ireland...never ever.

OK then not a genuis but it was pretty clever. Anglo appear to be having problems getting the properties back in other jurisdictions.

Are you happy paying your 2% levy now for any insurance you buy? ;)

He probably just hired a load of good lawyers, etc, to do all the clever stuff. Hardly requires genius to do that. I've heard people describe Jordan (Katie Price) as a shrewd business woman cos she made a lot of money. No, she probably just hired Max Clifford and then did everything he says. Hiring smart people to do smart things is pretty standard stuff.

There's already several threads on the Quinn saga. I don't think we need another one.
