What time does this air in America? And what time could a Pirate expect to see the show around?

The way Dexter got Lewis fired and mailed the tape was excellent. I'm also very glad he is dead. His files etc may cause a problem but still.

    Good episode!

another great episode, delighted someone finally killed louis, i was thinking there was more to him, and they really gave the illusion of that, but no, he was just a creep with a grudge :D:D

i do wonder how their gonna expand on yvonne strahovskis character, will she just have a change of heart, and end up hooking up with dexter when she come in,

and it looks like dexter is gonna have 2 guys on his case this season, i thought himself and the ukranian guy would have had a talk about yerman he killed,

and deb seems to just have accepted what dexter is, i dunno why he didnt just say he killed trinity, just to get the point through to deb that what hes doing is good,

There is more too him. His blood on Dexters boat. It'll be interesting to see where that goes

Hope I'm not the only one who genuinely laughed out loud when Dexter had the thoughts of killing the the girl in the post office and also killing Masouka. Thought they were hilarious moments :)

Not all the way through the episode and havent read the above comments yet, but wasn't expecting THAT!

Lol...lost power to the house a split second after Deb yelled 'Freeze' at the baddies house - was enough to make me jump!

    Enjoyed that. Good episode.

I really thought they were going to have Louis as a big part of this season (he still will be, I guess) so was shocked when he was shot dead, but couldn't help but laugh when he asked if he could go now only to be shot in the head - ''you can now'' :pac:

Great to see that Dexter is out of his cage and will get a bit of a free pass from Deb now after he was proved right about Speltzer.

On a side note does Desmond Harrington (Quinn) look ill now to anyone else? He's needlessly dropped a huge amount of weight over the course of the show:

Good episode, glad to see Lewis gone. As mentioned the blood splatter on the boat will probably be important this season. Also Paully D you're right the actor playing Quinn does look very gaunt almost sickly.

Wouldn't surprise me if they had an episode where Dexter took Deb/Angel/etc. out for a fishing trip and they saw it.

I enjoyed that - a big improvement on last week; it felt like a return to earlier and better seasons.

I wish they didn't insist on making things so blindingly obvious though; like the blood splatter on the deck and the Dr Evil style part where the gangsters discussed the GPS chip and heroin smuggling.

Why would he tell Deb that he is basically the reason that Rita was murdered? I have no idea how she hasn't figured it out herself anyway. But yeah get you, he should be naming the people he has killed and the crimes they committed.

I wonder if we will see any more of the kids? I can't even remember their names or what they look like, its been too long.

Good episode but thats all it was, I wonder if the show will ever return to its Season 1,2 or 4 quality. Those made for some of the best tv have ever watched.

I'm really not interested in this bald crazy guy, he's simply not interesting or smart enough to be the main villain in the series and I hope they end him in the next episode. I know he's basically only being used to show Deb the good side of Dexters bad side but they could have used someone better.

I actually feel uneasy at the fact that two people, almost 3(La Guerta), know what Dexter is. I've grown a weird bond with the man and this is the first time someone has the upper hand on him and I dont like it one bit!

I'm also liking that Hannah Mcmillan(spl) lass, the series needs some more pretty ladies after Rita and that English bird got killed off.

The series has potential but it better get good, fast.

I just think its getting so obvious now. You can see what's going to happen before it happens. As previous posts have mention the blood on the boat etc. It's lost its edge and moments of suspense. I just watch it now rather than look forward to it every week.

Either because of Lewis going missing - evidence at his home leads to Dexter as a suspect or Le Geurta cottons onto him as the Bayside Butcher.

maybe he should pay screech a visit

    I thought it was dreadful.

The Lewis plot turned out to be totally pointless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Staplor

La Guerta has enough to catch Deb as the Bay Harbour Butcher, blood slides, the warrant for the guy, stalking him, and her DNA at the bald guys house with the barbed wire. Add the boat with the blood and some surveillance on the crypt - waddaya get? A crime fighting murderous brother sister team

I felt a bit disappointed that Lewis was killed off like that. I thought he would have a bigger part to play while he was alive

I'm disappointed that Lewis was killed off. I really thought there was gonna be an interesting plot there, that there would be a link between him and Dexter from the past.

I would have found that kinda storyline much more interesting than the Russian criminals, which to me is a fairly mundane overdone format, the whole mobster crime gang stuff.

The scene with the bald guy and the strobes and stuff was good.

Also the comment above about the bayside butcher and screech had me in tears!

Can I just say that Ray Stephenson is awesome, but wtf kind of accent is he supposed to have? He's Ukrainian but sounds like an English gentleman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Staplor

They covered that bit, he was sent to a school in England because he was a bit of a rapscallion.

He reminds me of Gary Pallister in a way he never did in Rome.

Found the first half of this episode very slow, it only took off once Deb went to Ray's house...that whole scene was so creepy, with him in the helmet/mask. Other than that, found the episode fairly dull.

Really hoping killing off Louis isn't just an easy way for the writers to not have to explain his back story, and that we'll find out a bit more about him. There seemed to be more to him that what they've explained so far.

I wonder does he get the DART home. :D

Dreadful? Seriously, why do you bother to still watch the show? If you thought THAT was dreadful (you're way off in most people's opinions) it's obviously not for you.

I don't think the Lewis story is over yet.

I also don't think the lewis story is over yet

Samuel 'Screech' Powers was one of the central characters in '90s teen sitcom Saved By The Bell, the primary venue of which was the fictional 'Bayside High School'.

Bayside is also the name of one of the railway stations within the Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) service; it serves the Dublin district of the same name.

Thanks :) that was the Screech i was thinking of, but couldn't see the connection ...didn't know that the school was called Bayside.

Also as an Aussie living in Clare i'm not familiar with the areas the DART services so thanks for clearing up that one too!

I hope Deb doesn't forget that she wanted to bang her brother up til very recently.....that could've been interesting!

Enjoying the new season....I find myself looking at my watch though every now and again, something I never have to do with Boardwalk Empire or the new episodes of the Walking Dead

Really enjoyed that episode, hopefully now Deb will just let him get along with it - it's the only way the season can progress ...

He's got a lot of hassle with these gangsters on his trail aswell ...

I actually quite enjoyed the episode, despite it raising a few warning signals for me. I'm very curious about them killing off Lewis given that they've built that angle since the middle of last season? Are we supposed to take it that maybe Lewis just got caught up out of his depth in a personal feud and that's it? If so, then it's very disappointing considering he sent the hand to Dexter as well as the numerous tidbits showing his dark side and the mystery surrounding his hatred for Dexter. If that's the case then I 100% believe that the writers don't know what they're doing themselves and are just throwing angles out there for the sake of it. Let's hope not.

Otherwise, it is building pretty well. Lewis was seen as his main nemesis, but seemingly it is far worse than that. Also, we'll definitely see more of Dexter and the girl. The scene in the house at the end was creepy, very saw-esque, though, perhaps a little TOO saw-esque, with Deb reaching through the barbed wire trap for the gun?

As per all the seasons, they start it off with a bang, then build it up bit by bit for a pretty epic finale.... let's hope they get this right. I'll give the the benefit of the doubt.

    I hated that plot line.
I thought the gangsters would use the airport cameras to finger Dex, thus partly excusing that mistake. But alas..

Very enjoyable episode in all, they're keeping it moving faster than I expected, with Deb almost accepting the truth, which I feared would take the entire season and the gangsters having his name.

with Deb reaching through the barbed wire trap for the gun?.

    Did it cut her?

If she did, it means her DNA is in that house, which could have repercussions later on in the season.

Not sure, can't remember if she had her hand wrapped at the end?

Just checked there, and she didn't so have to assume it didn't. But Lewis' blood is definitely on Dexter's boat.

sure the cop arrived at the scene and deb said she fought yerman off so why would there be repercussions,

I watched this episode last night and that's what my fear would be. The whole Lewis storyline had enormous potential so killing him off so prematurely seems ridiculous. Just seems like the story writers have been following the same (predictable) formula for the last few series'. Bring back the brilliance that was Season 4 and those seasons preceding it! I really hope they leave it once and for all at Season 8, it has completely ran out of puff.

Have to agree with the Lewis killing. They really teased him out as if he was going to have a big impact. He did a few creeped out things and then dies in a boring scene.

I know, and he'd all the makings of a really full on creepy adversary who knew all about Dexter which could have made some great viewing, his killing was like some kind of brain fart by the writers....grrr
