Hi, I'm heading into week 6 of 1st year and need to defer until next September

    Is this possible?

Does anybody have any experiences of defering a course after they had already commenced in, in UL or any other college?

You'd have to speak to Admissions to find out what the story is.

Thanks I'll be speaking to them tomorrow, was just wondering if anyone here has prior knowledge of this procedure???

You need to get a Leave Of Absence form from SAA, probably also talk to your course advisor about it, and they'll tell you to go to the next Student Status Committee meeting, not sure when that is on. Provided you have a good reason they'll be fine with it. You might get away with only paying for one semester of tuition fees then next year.

Fairly sure you'd have to have sat exams/finished a semester before you can apply for a Leave of Absence. Next SSC is in February IIRC.

Oh, good call actually, forgot OP wouldn't have sat exams yet.
