Hi, i have a dish pointing to what I think is 28.2 astra, inside I have a standard FTA box which when I do a full scan I don't receive all the FTA channels like BBC etc but I am receiving higher frequency channels like vintage. When I select astra on the box the strength /quality bar show almost zero but when I select eurobird1 I get good quality and strength, the dish is a standard sky dish and lnb, is it possible the dish is focused more on 28.5 as apposed to 28.2 or will both satellites come in together the fact that there so close? Any ideas?

It could be a dish alignment issue, or possibly LNB skew.

Check both and see if any additional channels appear.
