Firebird c26kw capacity problems

    Hi

I recently got a new heating system and got a firebird silverpac c26kw outdoor boiler.

My house is a 5 bed with an extension and I noticed that when I had the heating on the rads in the extension weren't working. I queried this with the plumber who fitted and he said that there are too many rads running off the system and that we need to turn off rads upstairs in order for ones in extension to work.

I did this and rads in extension are working perfect but its not an ideal situation especially when the weather gets colder is the boiler we got too small for the house or is there something else which may be wrong.

There are about 13 radiators in the house altogether

    Thanks in advance

Boiler capacity could be tight there are other things to take into consideration like pipe runs pipe sizing and overall balancing of system. Also a 26 kw boiler comes set up at 23 kw it's up to the installer to commission it properly and adjust settings to your system needs.

I agree. Up the output to 26kw. Also try balancing down the hw cylinder. Make sure the circulating pump is a 25/60 rather than a 25/50.

Thanks for the replies will ask what the output is set at and look at the pump that was used is the 25/60 just a more powerful pump than the other?

Also I have stopped supply to all radiators upstairs via a lever at the boiler if I were to open this lever and only have one rad on upstairs should this make any difference to the extension rads.

Would it be an option to have the boiler on for say a half hour to let the extension heat and then open the rads upstairs would the rads in the extension stay heating then or just stop working after a few minutes.
