Raspbmc with Plug Ethernet?

Hi folks. Just got a Raspberry Pi and stuck Raspbmc on it. I have a NAS with my stuff attached to my wireless router. Now, my Pi is setup and running on the Wifi but it's pretty much grinding to a halt when I try to play something over the Wifi. I'm not surprised at this, and am not complaining. It's not exactly an i7. But I was just wondering has anyone ever used one of those plug-in Ethernet plugs? You know the ones that plug into a normal wall power socket and you connect an Ethernet cable to it? I was going to connect a cable from my wireless router to one and the Pi to the other. But I was wondering if drivers etc are needed or is it a straight-up plug-and-play Ethernet connection from the plug? I was hoping to use one of these for a better connection as I hope to use the Pi as a media player in my bedroom.

I know zilch about the Pi, but I use the plugs to connect my tv to the network. Just plug & play for me. A word of note though, if your bedroom is upstairs & router is downstairs, it could be two different circuits and the network plugs won't work. Need both plugs on the same circuit.

I went ahead and got one. Yeah, it was just plug-and-play really thank God. Never thought of the different household circuits, good thinking Deadskin. I am indeed using it upstairs with my router downstairs but, luckily, the room I'm using it in is directly above the room with the router so it worked out nicely. Functioning as I hoped. Deadly little device

I can confirm that home plugs work grand with the raspberry pi - no drivers needed just plug and play. Most of my 1080p DTS mkvs played just fine.
