Do you mean the REACH program assistance or another student assistance? If it's the REACH I already recieved my first cheque for it.

They mean the SAF (Student Assistant Fund), it is run by Student Life and Learning (SLL).
It will be 3 or 4 weeks before you hear any word back. They normally go over a good few of the applications during the mid-term break. They will text you with a date and time to collect your check if you are awarded anything. I'm not sure how it works if they need to talk to you about your application.

Did you hand your in on time? If you did then you should have gotten a text/email about it, go into the SLL office and ask the girl on the desk there? If you handed yours in late or had to resubmit it then it will be ~ the end to the middle of next month before you hear anything.

Sorry to jump in here but I'm just wondering if those who have recieved this could give me a rough idea of how much they give you? I'm actually a student in another college who's deadline isn't until January! So I'm applying at the moment but have no idea how much they will realistically give me. I know it depends on circumstances etc. but because of a number of different circumstances happening me and my family this year I'm pretty confident I'll definitely get it as I don't think anyone could be worse off financially!
