So I have an idea for a tattoo that I'd like on my back. It's just a starting point really, an image from a book that I'd like adapted a bit so it would look better on body. I can't draw so I would need somebody to work it out for me.

What can I do? Bring the image around to a few tattoo studios? Do I need to make an appointment? Do they generally charge for consultation? Thanks.

They don't charge for consultations. Just bring whatever you have into a studio and talk it over with them. They'll be able to work out what you want and arrange an appointment.
