Great idea, but em...the 2nd advert you posted is not a modified car, do you mean "Jap import and Mooded bargains that i'm not buying". The first ad is pants as the seller has all the pictures sideways, I would not mind the 2nd one but its sold already.

I was thinking of comparing what the original car should look like.

Okay, no comparisons, just modified cars!!

    i dont get this thread??

the second crx is a rare classic honda that was recently purchased by a friend, that particular car is rust free and mint with cheap running costs and honda realiability are you saying a one off 89 6 series turbo bmw with 55k spend on its engine is a better car?

you cant really compare the two but i know which would cost more in the long run.

Surely it's not worth that much is it?

I'd want to see receipts before I'd believe that even half of the claimed 55k went into that engine.

The 18k for full body restoration is much more believeable.

18k for body restoration haha.... made me laugh.... I think someone got a slight bit ripped off.

not a chance that money went into the 635 id say you could restore it and tune it for under 18k. For that money i would be looking at an e39 m5 or even add an extra few thousand to an e60 m5

even though the 4 door r34s are rare i couldnt justify spending that amount of a automatic 2ltr skyline, would be a different story if it was the gtst

Looks about as much fun as watching paint dry. Although the point of this thread is cars we wouldn't buy aint it? So yes the r34 is a good addition on that thinking.

I wouldn't buy this but it does look like fun :-)

That R34 is actually very rare on these shores, the body kit is horrid and I could restore it to original if I had the money but it would make a nice family car with its 4 door/auto combination. It would also draw too much attention from scum so that is a reason I wouldn't buy it.

    Scum indeed.

In saying that, you get a rb25det engine, box ecu etc for cheap enough now, so you could still have a reasonably cheap rare car.

Mother of god! €4,000 beans for a 1993 starlet! Horrid looking even if it is RWD. Not worth it!

I hate Starlets/Glanzas with a passion but that's not a crazy price if the ad is accurate in terms of work done
