Hey, I am looking to buy a set of wheels, just need a rear really, but since I have to buy new, I may as well get the set. The only ones withing my pricepoint really are the above mentioned shimanos, can any one give a reason to buy one over the other?

I am really a fan of Mavic, but it's way above my current pricepoint, but I was thinking of maybe just buying a rear aksium? I saw this for e125, and then perhaps at a later point picking up a front one.

I will be using the wheel(s) for winter riding and a lil bit of trail riding/cyclocross. Thanks in advance.

I got a pair of RS20's a short while ago as a spare set. Front axle cones went rough very quickly and I can't get replacement parts at the moment. Only training wheels but won't be touching shimano wheels again myself.

Likewise the RS10 - I had a couple of spokes go on me, and very hard to get replacements.

no prob with my rs10's (front QR seized with a winters riding) they'll be going back on when the salt hits the road (3 spare spokes sitting in my spoke collection just waiting)

only probs i've had recently is with a handbuilt set of open sports on taigra hubs, finally gave up on trying to repair it and replaced with a touring wheel (just couldnt take the commuting luggage)
