Rooted phones disappearing memory?

I have my Galaxy Mini rooted so that I can store all my apps on my sd card.But I have a weird problem in that every time I install or update an app i lose more internal memory but I shouldn't be. Is this some kind of cache problem and any idea how I solve it? Thanks
