i was just thinking the same thing but from what i heard ya cant call them

i have seen whitetail deer been called by clashing antlers wouldnt mind trying it on fallow but have no antlers hanging around unless i cut them off a trophy lol

have seen lots of markings on trees from stags in the area but its very dense cover and not a sin of an actual deer
wouldnt mind trying to lure them out

Have seen video of fallow being called with both mouth calls and clashing antlers, the latter most successfully. Was talking to a lad in a gun dealer's last year who was telling me about calling in sika stags, which after this morning's adventure seems like it'd be worth a try!

ya you can call reds and sika
    but fallow are different pity
was talking to a lad one morning who was also stalking
was saying to me hes uses there droppings to attract other males as there territorial so if ya pick it up and drop it at another forest etc the other one comes running once hes gets a whiff

id say i should probably be putting this in the tallest tale thread instead of hear as its most likely a bull**** story
    but ya never no

I'd try the antlers. Have seen a call used as well, but the antlers was the one that seemed to work. Was out this morning, and from the noise from every direction I'm the only person in the country who didn't so much as see a deer, let alone get a shot at one this morning.

thats right you can call red and sika bucks as they go out during the rut trying to gather up the does but with fallow i think the does come to the buck.(as far as ive read but could be wrong).and if thats the case you might have more success calling in does.but when i saw the vid on you tube rattling the antlers seemed to work.as i said the buck came running up towards the rattle.just back home after this morns stalk and alls i met were 2 does.thats all i seem to have met this season is does apart from a pricket i got 2 weaks ago,but as previous post said theres markings of bucks everywhere i go,just cant seem to bump into them.
